A new print run…
One of the lovely aspects about working with Indian fabrics is the variations between print runs. This is something that isn’t blatant when working with factory and digital prints, due to the standardisation of the manufacturing process. However, with hand made fabrics each print run can be quite different, which means that every metre of fabric is unique!
It also means that there is a lot of re-photographing to be done, and colour descriptions to reconsider. Whilst it does mean extra work, I love this aspect of Monsoon Weave, as it makes it even more exciting to receive new fabric. Often I am not quite sure what I am going to get! Happily, most of the time it works out ok.
